The oils we supply, according to our knowledge are of the highest quality - pure, undiluted and derived from the named botanical species. We always try to supply oils which are organic (no artificial fertilizers or pesticides). Even though most harmful pesticides do not distil into the oil, we detest them and would like to see the end of their use.

The oils are all subjected to rigorous testing: weight per mille, optical rotation and refractive index, on top of our own testing. We test our oils with equipment to insure purity - one of the tests being Hewlett-Packard GC-MSD in conjunction with Wiley275 thousand spectrum databases and structures library for easy peak identification. GC & GC-MS helps quantifies the chemical components, of which there can be over 200.

We would like to introduce you to our newest team member, Dr. Kevin Brigden who is now employed as Kobashi's Organic Chemist. He will be dealing with testing and analysing of all our Essential Oils, in addition to previous and current testing carried out by Iryna Labounskaia and Scott Ballard.

I test because my family uses Kobashi oils every day in one way or another. I test because we have over 1000 therapist of whom use our oils, including a number of hospitals. We must not let anyone down. When I get gc's from suppliers I still retest them with gc-ms. If you really want security you must do your own testing. It cost 10's of thousands, but it is well worth it for personal satisfaction.
