Our customers know what's real! |
Theraputic grade and the very best!
The difference between Kobashi and the majority of suppliers is that we can prove in a court of law we are selling 100% Pure Essential Oil.
Another difference with Kobashi is we suggest you dilute our oils before putting them on your skin, as they are pure. Many companies would like you to pour it on neat, as this makes them more money. They also say you can pour it on neat because they are more than likely diluted.
Another difference with Kobashi is we suggest you do not take them internally, as our oils are the same as used for "theraputic grade". Don't take them internally unless qualified to do so. One drop of Melissa is the same as ingesting oil from 500grams of plant material.
We would like to thank the many people who have written on this page for their wonderful remarks about Kobashi Essential Oils. These comments make all the hard work worth going for quality first, as we thoroughly test every essential oil before it reaches you. God knows we could make more money by just shifting oil. We will always spend the time and money to test the oils thoroughly. These testimonials are only updated occasionally.

Dear Scott,
I am so pleased with the oils I received - that rose otto is heavenly and I don't think I've ever smelled anything as great as the neroli. I am definitely planning to be a longtime customer - in fact, I just placed my second order last week. Thanks again for being such a fine, upstanding vendor and for doing business in an ethical and moral fashion. You are a gem!

Dear Maryling

I LOVE my Kobashi Oils! I got them much more quickly than anything I've ever ordered online, and the quality is exquisite. I ordered Patchouli because when I was a child it was my mother's scent, and I immediately mixed it with the Geranium I ordered for my very own scent. Thank you so much for the free Festive Blend, I was not expecting it and almost contacted you to tell me you'd sent too much. I know it's considered by most a holiday scent, but it's just what I needed for my closet's sachets. I will definitely be ordering again soon!

We are very much satisfied with the Kobashi oils and the prices are very attractive when compared with the Young's oils. One thing, however. Are the oils Grade A and suitable for taking internally? Joan
Dear Joan
Question: Are the oils Grade A?
Answer: Scott Ballard
Grade A: means nothing without in depth Gc-Ms and Gc-Ms head space analysis: if you are not doing a split injection without a carrier.

Thankyou for the follow up note. I did receive the oils, however I am not sure how to mix them. I have a bottle to use, but I don't know what to mix with the oils to use them as a spray. Is it water and alcohol, or what? I hope that you can help me with this question, I look forward to wearing the oils very soon!! Thankyou, and have a great day!!!!
Julie
Dear Julie
I hope this helps.A spray can be made by placing less than 2% essential oil in Vodka , preferably one with less odor and shaking vigorously until it is mixed then sprayed immediately , avoiding the eyes.. An Alcohol will mix with essential oils better than water. Essential oils will float to the top of water. If you use water add less than 1% essential oil, shake vigorously until it is mixed then spray immediately, avoiding the eyes. When using water mix only a small amount to use in a few weeks, as water can deteriorate essential oil over a period of time.
The leaflet that came with your oils will show you a few recipes.

Yes, it's ok to publish my letter.
____________
Below is a frequently asked and very valid question.
Question: Hi, I like your site a lot.
I am from Taiwan, can I order online?
If yes, how much will it cost to send the products I ordered to Taiwan? One more thing, I would like to know how do I tell the real essential oils from the fake ones? I have visited several essential oil sites and the price of the oils varies a lot and all of them claim that their oils are 100% pure. I am quite confused and don't know whom to believe. It would be very nice of you if you could help me answering me the questions. I am looking forward to hearing from you.
Thanx.

Dear Irene
Yes from the USA & Rest of the World Shopping links and the shipping cost is $4.80 US dollars for any amount.
What I am saying below may seem bias and a little wondering off the track, but it is the truth as far as I know. Truth is a complex thing, which needs close examination, which most people don't what to know. What I'm saying in this letter needs the specifics with the broader picture revealed. You can take my word, but direct experience in the process I live in will confer my truth.
Unless you purchase from someone like myself you have very little chance of knowing if an essential oil is real.
I have lectured groups of Essential Oil Suppliers and Aromatherapists. I gave them adulterated Jasmine, Bergamot and Mandarine to Judge against real unadulterated oils of the "same". They almost always pick the adulterated ones. Their comments on why they chose the adulterated oils,"because they where lighter." or "I liked the smell."
Nature almost always has a depth to it, a roundness to it and hopefully a richness that helps one remember.
What makes a good essential oil and how do you know your getting a pure unadulterated oil?
The most important issues in Essential oil for Aroma therapy is purity and the chemical composition. So how does one go about the search for purity and composition?
One type of company will ask the price, haggle, haggle with another company, pit the suppliers against each other and buy on price alone.
Another type of company will ask the price, haggle, haggle with another company, pit the suppliers against each other and asks for samples, smell the sample and then purchase.
Among the other oils below we now have Organic Niaouli, Organic Ravensara, Organic Ravintsara, Organic Geranium , Organic Helichrysum
Question: I read recently about a company whose essential oils products organic/wild grown and far superior quality. They say they test not only the plants its self but also the soil that it is grown in. That they are certified by the soil association. Can you tell me if your products also certified by this soil association?
I am trying to find the purest therapeutic grade essential oils available. Thank you.

What is the difference between an essential oil and an absolute?
A friend asked for jasmine essential oil and I can't seem to find it anywhere!!!
Thanks, Micheline
Dear Micheline
FAQ:
What's the difference between Rose Otto and Rose Absolute? (What's the difference between an Essential oil and an absolute?)
They are both essential oils produced from different processes.Traditionally an Essential Oil is produced through steam distillation. Very little essential oil is produced from steam distilling very delicate flowers, such as Jasmine or Rose.Almost no essential oil is produced from steam distilling Jasmine, thus the cost is prohibitive. Co2 produced Jasmine is also cost prohibitive. In the case of Rose Otto (distilled Rose) it produces enough oil, but is more expensive than Rose Absolute which produces more Oil because of the method mentioned below.
RAVINTSARA (Cinnamomum camphora)
Ravintsara and Ravensara from Madagascar which is organically and sustainably grown is now in stock! Test results are in and everything passes with flying colours!
Ravintsara is confused with Ravensara by many suppliers. (Correspondence between the supplier and myself) Scientifically and with no possible contradiction there are two different species that we are talking about. Both are members of the LAURACEE family;
Cinnamomum camphora (NEES) is not an endemic species of Madagascar, as pointed out in the letter of your correspondent it is also found in China, as it originated from Borneo and has been widely used as an ornamental tree. This tree is called Ravintsara in Malagasy. The essential oil of the Cinnamomum camphora from Madagascar is definitely different from the one that originates from China and I recommend that the essential oil should be called Ravintsara (Cinnamomum camphora) essential oil. Ravintsara is a common name that cannot be patented.
Interesting note: Cinnamomum camphora (Ravintsara) from Madagascar is High in cineole; around 60%. Cinnamomum camphora (Ho leaf) from China is high in Linalool around 80 to 95% depending on how it is distilled.
JASMINES
(Both bulk shipments of Jasmines failed my QC. due to phthalates at .07 Jasminium grandiflorum , .25 Jasminium sambac and champaca .54 All three samples have excess ethanol. Please note these unwanted chemicals were not in the presamples.)
We have been searching the world for pure Jasmine without much luck.
We have access to all the major and smaller producers of jasmine in the world. Looks like most companies are selling oil we will reject.
Over one year, many samples, and I must go through the whole process of testing more samples again. What a waste of time and money. I have to remind myself if I didn't find problems there would be no need to test. Now I must either get the producer in India to give me back the thousands of dollars or give me oil as sampled. Either way at least you know I'm testing and making sure we get the real thing.
You see if we don't have an oil in stock we loose money.
ROSEWOOD
We have lost quite a bit of money since 1995 when we stopped selling Rosewood. Until a sustainable source, that can sustain the enormous demand is found, selling Rosewood contributes to the destruction of the rain forest. Ho leaf oil is very close in aroma and composition to young Rosewood. Let's face it, even if someone grows Rosewood "sustainably"they will not be able to meet demand. The forest maybe destroyed faster than they already are, the destroyers may say they got rosewood from the sustainable source!
Rosewood just happens to be one of my favorite oils. I can get it, but I must make some kind of stand, as meager as this is. Hopefully I'll hear someday that there's plenty of Rosewood for everyone and the scientist were wrong.
Have you heard the methyl hydrate is already releasing from the ocean floors and the glaziers are melting. Wake up call: some scientist who have spent millions on research say we have 50 to 100 years left before the oceans boil.--
More info on individual oils and pictures of each plant will appear ASAP
